It has been an off-week!

You know when one day your on top of the world having a great day and the next well it isnt that great.
Well I have been having one of those only its not a day, its a week!
It all started on Saturday afternoon after work.
My camera had been on charge all day and the three green lights had flashed meaning 100% charge. When i went to turn my camara on, it switched itself off and had to be re-charged. It is under an extended warranty (the camera is only 14 months old!). Anyways off to Harvey Norman I go on Sunday. I was stuck there for a little under two hours. The customer service guy said he thought it was better if i bought a new camera. A new camera!?! This one is not ancient! He then refused to send it away. Two reasons: He did not think Kodak would fix it because there was a crew missing from the camera and number two because I did not give him $85 to send it away (remember its under warranty!?!. Supposed to be sent away for free!) and after talking to his manager, she agreed the camera would be sent away.
Monday: Take a pair of shoes to the shoe repairer. When I came back to pick them up, I accidently left my wallet on the counter. The shoe repairer was closing. Going to catch my afternoon train I soon discovered I did not have my wallet. 100% certain of where it was I went to the shoe repairers tof ind it shut but I found a mobile number I could contact the owner on. He sounded vague by first saying yes he had the wallet then no he didnt have it. Lucky for me my boss was still at work and he lent me some money to get home. I am devastated. Everything in my wallet is personal. Medicare card, ID, none of this is any use to any one except myself.
Tuesday morning: Harvey Norman call. The general manager for the digital department calls me and said on review of my camera they wanted $85 to send the camera away. (Haven't we already had this conversation!?!) I said I could not come over there any earlier than late next week because I am going interstate. She replied with "fine, it will stay here until you pay!" Because I work in the city I had to call my Mum to go over and give this lady the money. I am not happy with this. I believe if the camera is under warranty, it should be sent away for free. I should not have to cover Harvey Norman's costs. Because of this experience I am NOT buying anything electrical from them again.
Tuesday afternoon: Picture this: Me, frantic running around getting new cards: Bank, Medicare etc. On my way to get a new licence I had a phone call from my dental assistant. (what in the world could she want!?!) She had phoned to tell me the Sweeny Hotel on Clarence St had my wallet. It had been dumped in the Gents toilet.
The person who had my wallet took anything of value to them: money,train ticket etc but the one thing I am devastated over. He took my memory card from my camera. The one thing I wanted. There is over 400 photos. He would not know anyone in them so why would he take it!! I only had my memory card in my wallet because of the camera situation. Nice hey!
So from tomorrow, I will be going to Queensland for a long (deserved!) break. I wont be blogging for a week, but when I get back I promise I will fill you guys in on my holiday and any other bits of juicy gossip I pick up along the way!

Justin Timberlake has hit Australian shores this morning. However he was en route to Brisbane and was in and out of Sydney in hours. Jessica Biel was nowhere to be seen.
Justin is in Australia to perform his 'Future Sex/Love Sounds' tour which i am going to on November 13.

Candice has to: (OPINION PIECE)

Get over herself!
She states in many media interviews thats she is NOT Australia's version of Paris Hilton.
We all know that is a lie. Candice is more famous for her relationship/hook-ups with men than her 'ironwomen' career.
In her latest interview with Alpha magazine, Falzon states she has "no regrets" about her infamous toilet tryst with rugby league star Sonny Bill Williams. Well why would you when it made you famous. It also made you look easy. I wonder if she ever thought about Sonny's girlfriend while she got it on in a toilet and it just shows how hygenic she is. (Everyone on this blog knows my opinion on hygeine!)

And if she wants to be taken as a serious 'ironwomen' why would you in the photoshoot accompaying the interview be in a bikini with a cream bottle! Get serious Candice :You are Australia's version of Paris Hilton. Retire from ironwomen duties it makes you look stupid when all the best you could finish was 14th in your latest event.

Perez catches 'The Hills' out!

A few gossip blogs have come across and made accusations that MTV's 'The Hills' is a 'fake' reality show.
About two weeks ago pictures surfaced of MTV filming Speidi leaving and arriving at the airport for the show. All Heidi did was change outfits.
Even though it might be 'fake' and now evidence is starting to show that it is, i still love the show! Its one of my TV addictions. Perez, the master of gossip, has came across the latest epiosde of season three of The Hills.
Lauren goes on a date with Gavin. Seen sipping on her cocktail she has bright red nailpolish on and flar hair. After comming home from the date and calling Brody, there is no nailpolish and curly hair.

Australian born actress Sophie Monk has stripped off for PETA. Monk is naked only being accompanied by her engagement ring and a bed of crimson chilli peppers.

Baby Borat is born

Isla Fisher has finally given birth to Baby Borat.
The couple welcomed a baby girl into the world last Tuesday. No name has been released as yet. I'm sure the baby will be occupied by her Dad's alter egos, Ali G and Borat.The former Home and Away star has made it big in Hollywood staring in Wedding Crashers along side Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson.

Britney's life is a trainwreck!

Britney Spears has lost visitation rights to both of her sons. She has also settled the hit and run incident out of court.
Apparently, the troubled pop singer hasn’t been following all of her obligations to the court - so she will not be allowed time with the boys until her next court date on October 26th.
Her album called 'Blackout' realeased on November 13. According to sources Pharell helped her co-write a song called “Why Should I Be Sad.” And the tune deals with her devastation over the demise of her marriage to Kevin Federline.
It will be a big eye-opener for fans.
Pharell has came out to support the singer by saying “At the end of the day she is a sweet person. She’s just made a couple of decisions that none of us would necessarily agree with, but you try being that age and living under that kind of pressure. I wish her well. I pray for her. I hope she fares well throughout all of this craziness.”
By this photo though it doesn't seem to bother the star that she has lost visitation rights. She is out and about on a shopping spree.

A day in the life of Lilo

Well Lindsay Lohan has certainly made an impression since arriving back in LA.
She is seen here leaving hairstylist-to-the-stars Kev Paves Hairdressing salon. Ken also maintains the locks of the Simpson's sisters and Eva Longoria.
There have been reports that Lindsay is engaged to rehab buddy Riley Giles.
This is not the case.Lindsay's rep spoke to TMZ about the situation and this is what she had to say:The "new" ring is a gift from her father, Michael Lohan, and the other is a Cartier ring that she has had for some time.

I'm hooked on..

Pageant Place! MTV keeps popping out amazing shows. I already love The Hills and Laguna Beach and when this caught my eye I had to have a peak.
Pageant Place is about Miss Teen USA, Miss USA and Miss Universe all living in the same apartment together. As you could imagine Donald Trump describes it as "All they have in common is their beauty". Expect bitch fights and tantrums especially when former Miss USA Tara Connor comes back into the scene. Tara is famous for tarnishing the organization's reputation after being caught using cocaine. Tara was only found out after Miss Teen USA, Katie Blair dobbed her in because she thought Tara was constantly flirting with her boyfriend.

This show screams fire and ofcourse I am going to be hooked. Its not available in Australia so go to www.mtv.com to watch it from there!

Notebook romance over

I am sad to confirm that the perfect Notebook pairing of Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling is over.
Ryan stated in a recent interview that they mutually ended the relationship but either knows why. And their personal relationship was more romantic then their Notebook characters. All together now, sigh!

Who is Prudence? Is she the next up-and-coming star who was caught pashing Zac Efron? NO! Prudence is Kelly Osbourne's new side-kick, her beloved pug!
I just had to post this! As anyone close to me knows, i love pugs. I think they are just too cute and when I get my own place I am getting one and naming it Bubbles.
This the second time in the past few weeks, Prudence has been seen out and about in her blue hoodie. Kelly has a matching one.
Be careful papparazzi, she is already shunning the spotlight as this picture shows!

This is the official wedding picture of Wedding number three for Pamela Anderson and Rick Solomon. They had a quickie wedding in Vegas on Pamela's dinner break.
Rick is known for his role in 'One night in Paris' (Sex tape with Paris Hilton) and Shannon Doherty's ex. (90210 fame)
Pamela ended up getting together with Rick after she kissed him in an effort to pay off her poker debt.
With bot of them staring in popular sex video's its only a matter of time til this one does the rounds!

Their boobs are fake! Yep all four celebs have had breast 'enchancements'. Pamela and Carmen made a career out of them. Another famous blonde, Porn star, Jenna Jameson has had her twins removed. The retired porn star was showing off her deflated assets at the Heatherette fashion show. There are now visible scars. If i were her, I would have left them in if knowing everyone would stare at your not-so-there chest to see scars. Call me superficial?

When sorry is not enough

Last week on my daily round trip from home-station-work-station-home I had a painful encounter.
What happened was the train was at the final stop (my stop). When trains usually slow down they jolt a bit causing several people to lose their balance.
Well on Friday afternoon I encounted this jolt only to let out a roaring scream in pain. Why? Because I had a buisness women on the mobile infront of me not concentrating, lost her balance and not looking stabbing me with the heel part of her shoe. My foot was bare (you could see skin). Immediatley she turned around, looked at me, managed to say an insincere sorry and continue on her merry way. Me, hobbling off the train in pain could see a imediate bruiise on my foot. Move on to a week later today and I am left with a scar. Her heel dug so deep into my skin its there to stay for a while!
Now I know that she couldn't of helped it but she could have handled the situation better. I'm not talking about kissing my foot or anything (that would freak me out), i am talking about ending her phone conversation, offering assistance and then continue on her merry way.
Some people will always think about themselves especially on the train.

Gale dissapointed at ACA

Supermodel Megan Gale and her management have spoken out about the interview on A Current Affair that aired across Australia on Channel 9 on Monday night. She felt disappointed and exploited by the angle the program took with the interview, which was portrayed to be a battle of Gale vs Jennifer Hawkins. I definatly got that impression!
Gale has told Sydney Confidential the interview was "taken out of context''.
Megan and her management, Chadwick's were upset by the program's iinterpretation that the supermodel was stepping off the catwalk and into a career as a cosmetics company businesswoman.
Max Walsh from Chadwick's stated "Megan made no reference to retiring from the runway, however did express her future plans to pursue further business opportunities in addition to her modelling commitments.
We will see Ms Gale on the David Jones catwalk in 2008.

Do you think ACA got it wrong with the way they reported the article or do you believe Gale is trying to cover up how she really feels because as a model and all its bad publicity.

Baby bump watch

One of my best friends Lou has became a major Christina fan after I took her to the 'Back to Basic's' concert earlier this year. She asked me to find a picture of Christina's bump for her. So here it is. There has been no official announcement as yet but that is definatly not a Krispy Kreme belly! Lately Mr and Mrs Bratman have been spotted at Bel Bambini in Beverly Hills shopping for Baby Bratman. Here she is seen leaving the Mark Ronson concert in Los Angeles.

Gale Vs Hawkins Round what!

Megan Gale has came out on channel Nine's A Current Affair and brought up such topics as the end of her modelling career,Papparazzi and Jen Hawkins.
She feels its offensive to be compared to the former Miss Universe.
The 32-year-old face of David Jones insists she has far more experience than the former Miss Universe, 23, who fronts ad campaigns for fierce retail rival Myer.
"For me to be compared and critiqued … it's, I don't want to use the word offensive but, wow … I've done so much over the last fifteen years," Gale told Channel 9's A Current Affair last night.
"What she is doing, I was doing eight, nine years ago."
Talk about a way to bring out the punches. Jen has done such great things in her short career and even though their has been rivalry Myer vs David Jones, Jennifer once admitted she looks up to Megan Gale.
Megan then went on to say if Jen and her weren't with the constant pressure from the media they could have ended up being friends!
I think Megan has hit a sour point. Even though she is gorgeous she is gettin on with her age where as Jen is a star around the world and is globally recognised unlike Gale who is only famous in Italy. Megan will leave the catwalk soon to start up a mega buisness with skincare products.
With regards to Myer and David Jones, I personally prefer Myer.Even though Myer is jam packed at lunch in the city - its refreshingly close to work and always has friendly staff on hand. My experience at David Jones ended up being me lost in the wrong building, no one could direct me to the women's side which cost me my half hour lunch break being frustrated!

Linds back in LA

Lindsay Lohan has touched down in LA after reports circulated that she would be bi-coastal. Live in Utah, work in LA and New York.Her new so-called boyfriend, Ryan Giles was no where to be sighted. I don't think this will last. As much as i like LiLo, we all know she is a bit on a man-eater.
In other news about Lilo. Apparently she is broke.
I loved Georgia Rule but it was not a hit in the box office. Her last official hit was Mean Girls.
It has been reported that she blew US $1 Million on clothes! And just think about her time staying at the Chateau Marmont. That does not come cheap. This girl needs to get back to work. I do not think her stints in rehab (Promises and Cirque Lodge) will affect her career.
And look what I came across. Apparently Linds height changes weekly. We believe the weight but i dont think you can grow from 5"2 to 5"7 or vise versa in five days!

Former O.C star in rehab

The O.C. and Entourage star Samaire Armstrong is not technically in rehab however she is seeking treatment for some 'issues.'
Samaire’s publicist released the following statement:
“Samaire Armstrong decided to enter an outpatient facility to deal with some personal issues in a therapeutic atmosphere and is doing very well. She continues to work on her show and will be completing her treatment in a matter of weeks.”
She is currently staring in the a show called Dirty Sexy Money. It has not been aired in Australia as yet.
She was so cute as Seth's sidekick Anna.
I miss the OC - bring back the OC! (and Miss Barton!)

This is scary

Jaslyn Hewitt, Lleyton's sister has started a new sport. Bodybuilding. The former tennis player has been working out for our hours a daay in the past six months.
In a quote from the Daily Telegraph Jaslyn states: she is interested only in figure events and did not want to "bulk up like a she-man".
However by these pics, I think she has already crossed that line. If you were a guy cuddling up to Jaslyn, it would feel like another guy not a girl.
I think this is too far, exercising is healthy but this is pushing it to the extreme.

Professionail - not!

I went to the Professionail Spa for some infills and was quite shocked at the service.
I usually go to the same place every two weeks for my infill. My regular nail lady was on holidays so instead i got a so called gentleman. He was in quite a rush and clearly did not have enough staff on. He seemed irritated and was actually cutting in to me with the nail file.
One thing i believe is rude: NEVER talk another language infront of someone who will not understand it. You go in to these nailspa's and it happens all the time! Talk about nice service with a smile!
After leaving the spa and going to my second job i already had chipped one of my nails so there are two things that annoyed me about this experience - the service and the quality of the product.
I called this gentleman this morning and explained that my nail had chipped and he splattered out "Your fault!"
I will not be going back to them in a hurry!

Note: On Friday afternoon, a lady called me back from Professionail and offered to fix my nail for free and was sorry for the inconvience. When I arrived on Saturday I was greeted by the same gentleman who did my nails on Thursday. The whole time while he was repairing my nail he was saying its not his fault, his acrylic is strong. If it was then why would you fix it for free!?!

Personal Hygiene is a must

One of my must-have's in a guy,friend or anyone I am around is personal hygiene.
For me, its a personal thing. I always like feeling fresh and clean and I like people around me to be the same.
At the moment I have had several encounters or should I say have seen several things that have disturbed me and I put the question out there, Should I mind my own buisness or is personal hygiene something in which the average joe can have a say?
Lets start with personal (It has come up several times in this blog already!). That means, you.
What does personal hygiene mean to you. To me it means the following:
-Shower or bath daily
-Wash hands after bathroom visits.
-Blow nose with tissues
and the list can go on. Why do I point out these particular issues one may ask?
Because I have seen all of the following this week and it is really starting to get under my skin.
A lady in my work building is known for her unhygenic ways. To put it bluntly, its disgusting. It has come to the drastic measure where management has put up 'Hygiene signs' in the bathroom and the lady still ignores the sign and continues on her merry way with unwashed hands. People like myself in this building have to touch the same things she does. For example, doors, lift buttons etc so what do you say to one who is most likely to be offended?
The second encounter in which I had seen at lunchtime was a shabbily dreessed man, unshaven, hair messy, beer gut hanging over his trackies picking his nose. Yes in public, out there for everyone to see. To make the matter worse, wiping his findings on a building wall and then starting to rub his crotch and pull his wedgie. It literally made me gag. Even thinking about now, I want to be sick.
There is a line and these people are crossing it.
What to do is the question? Ideas?

Price Tags for Designers.

OK, so my latest obsession is the Dior Gaucho Sunglasses.
Ever since I saw them on Britney, I just fell in love with the shape. (Britney is NOT my style icon!) Anyways, getting back to it, I was at my local shopping centre and decided to try a pair on. The sales lady happily quirked '50% off' and my eyes lit up with joy. They looked great. Great fit,size and shape. No scratches. I went to put my plastic on the counter when I looked at the price. I swear my eyes would have been bulging out of my head. $630 for a pair of sunglasses. What the!?! So 50% brought them down to $315 but that is still alot of money for a pair of sunglasses. Britney can afford to waste that much money on a pair of sunnies. Me, sadly, no!
It got me thinking, how much is too much for a pair of sunglasses? What happens when you fall it love with an item? You know the one, where your daydreaming walking past the shops checking each day if it is on sale yet!?!
AND how can designers really charge that much. We all know we pay for the brand but $630 is pushing the limit. Looks like i'll be sticking to my Versace's my boy got me. There nice,still in season and I didn't pay for them which is even better!

NYE plans?!

It's that time of year again where people start asking: "What you guys doing for New Years?"
First of all, I cannot believe how quick this year has gone. Every year, seems to go faster and faster and before you know it, you will be old, retired and watching Days of Our Lives religiously.
There are three groups of people for New Years:
The 'I leave everything to the last minute', The 'I always do the same thing every year' or The "I plan for New Years Eve well in advance'.
'I leave everything to the last minute' people will never have great plans. Their life thrives off unorganisation! In the end they will end up going down to the local pub or park.
'I always dothe same thing every year' are people who really enjoyed one experiance, so they keep reliving it. That's fine if you don't like change, BUT you never know there are plenty of new memories to be made! These people will often be seen at their favourite restaurant, lookout or caravan park/holiday destination.
'I plan New Years Eve well in advance' are people that are now organising their NY. They check out the latest acts,festivals and lookout points to make the most out of the NYE experience. And this type is me( for this year!) I have two options, that we are considering at the moment.
Field Day - which is actually on New Years Day, therefore spending NYE at Macquarie's chair gazing over the fireworks display or
Shore Thing - NYE at Bondi Beach another music festival this year featuring Groove Amarda and Sneaky Sound System.
I am making my decision by the fact that i have never been to a music festival!

The biggest story at the moment:

Britney Spears has lost full-time custody of her two sons and will have to give them over to Kevin Federline within the next two days.
This story has been splashed around everywhere so I am not going to go on about it although it needed a mention considering how big it is!
The judge has not given his reasons in a statement as yet.
I believe suicide watch is a must for her and her true friends should support her and get Brit the much needed help she deserves.

Sex and the City (SPOILER!)

OK, so massive fans of SATC who doesn't want to know what is happening in the film skip this post!
This morning on the Kyle and Jackie O show, their gossip source revealed Carrie is getting married to Big in the film.
Jackie said that with papz taking so many photos we will know what is happening scene by scene. I agree BUT it is one of, if not is the most talked about film at the moment.
I can see this movie, is going to be a smashing success!!
(I am not a fan of the dress, reminds me of Madonna 'cone tits' 1980's!)

Rachel's 'more influential' than Anna

Uber Stylist to the stars, Rachel Zoe (my fashion icon) has started to fall out with Devil wears Prada muse, Anna Wintour.
But after reading her comment I would agree with Rachel.
Rachel said in an exclusive interview with New York's Time magazine: "Anna Wintour is one of my heroes, but they say that I’m more influential. As great as it is, Vogue won’t change a designer’s business. But if an unknown brand is worn by a certain person in a tabloid, it will be the biggest designer within a week. When I worked with Nicole [Richie], there were things that she wore that designers had to remake for another season because there was such demand.’’

Vogue is the classy womens mag. I get it. But really look how expensive all the clothes they feature are. The every day women cannot afford that.However Zoe, may use a mix: designer,vintage or chain store chic. She seems more down to earth than Anna anyway!

Good Charlotte canning Aussie Tour?

Apparently Joel Madden and Nicole Richie have set a wedding date. The big day is to occur on October 13. According to TMZ.com that the Wedding Fairy, a wedding planner based in the OC, will coordinate the small ceremony that is to take place in Laguna Beach, California. One problem: Good Charlotte are supposed to be hitting our shores then!
We will have to wait and see!

Spicing up the World!

The Spice Girls reunion tour must be the biggest thing that is hitting the planet in the next twelve months. The London concert has sold out in 38 seconds after fans were notified tickets had gone on sale, the show's promoters have claimed.

More than one million people in the UK registered for the concert, which takes place on 15 December at the O2 arena.

"It was a dramatic moment - the sales went live and there was a huge surge as fans bombarded the lines," said Ticketmaster's boss Chris Edmonds.

Three more London dates have been added to the tour and a second one in LA.
