New Years Resolutions

It is this time every year where everyone starts to think about their New Years Resolutions. Over the years, I have promised myself the following things:
-Stress less
-Be Healthy (cut out the junk food!)

And I failed. I do not know why people make resolutions when they know they will break them!This year my resolution is to make no resolution! That way I can not fail.

My highlights of the year:
-Britney's meltdown - losing custody of her two sons, in and out of rehab and the unforgettable MTV comeback.
-Christina touring Australia.
-Justin Timberlake touring Australia.
-Nicole Richie's pregnancy and gaining some much needed weight.
-More stars stripping for PETA, including Australia's Sophie Monk.
- Spice Girls reuniting

My predictions for 2008:
-Mischa Barton goes to rehab
-Britney gains custody back of her kids
-One of my friend's gets engaged
-Cate Blanchett wins an Oscar
-Perez Hilton gets sued by Jessica Alba

The list could go on!

More than an art form

Artist Alison Jackson has released a new book called "Confidential".

I can hear everyone, going who?

Alison Jackson who is an American artist with a new concept.

Jackson puts the theory to the test with this question: Is seeing really believing?

In fact her subjects in the book are celebrity look-alikes. Picture this: Brad Pitt shaving Angelina's legs or Jennifer Lopez having her bottom fluffed.

Jackson's work is causing quite a uproar because the lines between public life and private life have now become blurred. With the world going crazy for celebs, the public want to know more.

"Because we unquestioningly accept the authenticity of the photograph, it would appear that we are being given a glimpse of something confidential, a private moment. It is only upon closer examination that we question the reality of the image, and hopefully this makes us question our unwitting tendency to believe everything we see in the media today," the book's publisher says.

Christina's due date.

The “Beautiful” singer will be giving birth via cesarean section on January 10th, 2008 according to the New York Post. Reportedly, Christina and Jordan have been busy picking out names for their soon-to-be-born baby boy. So far they’ve come up with Jackson, Jake, and Max as options. It looks they are not going with anything outrageous as "Pilot Inspecktor".

The picture is of Christina celebrating her twenty seventh birthday with hubby Jordan Bratman. They kept it low-key going to dinner. Just the two of them. All together now, awww!

Update on the Jamie-Lynn pregnancy

Jamie-Lynn Spears pregnancy has been confirmed after Nickelodeon released this statement about on of their biggest stars:

“We respect Jamie Lynn’s decision to take responsibility in this sensitive and personal situation. We know this is a very difficult time for her and her family, and our primary concern right now is for Jamie Lynn’s well being.”

The Nickelodeon actress, 16, is keeping the baby that she’s having with her live-in love, non-celeb Casey Aldridge, 19.

Jamie-Lynn is sixteen and has a live-in-lover. I wonder how Lynne Spears (Britney and Jamie-Lynn's Mum) feels?

In the space of a year her oldest daughter has been divorced, lost custody, in and out of rehab, shaved her head, had a breakdown and a less than stellar 'comeback' performance at the MTV's music awards. What a way to cap off a year to see her youngest daughter is pregnant at 16!

It must be a deviated septum.

Well, Hollywood has found a new trend.

Get a nose job and say "It was because I had a deviated septum." I might believe Cameron Diaz considering the number of times she has broken her nose, but Jennifer Aniston and High School Musical star, Ashley Tisdale, come on!

Jen has already had a minor nose job before pre Friends. Ashley Tisdale had an interview with US People magazine declaring: “I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose. I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me.”

Let me guess, the next celebrity stating they got a nose job because of a deviated septum will be Ashlee Simpson.

Tony has a wandering eye

Eva Longoria Parker and Tony Parker look like they have already hit the rocks if this report is to be believed.

French model, Alexandra Paressant is saying that she recently had an affair with Tony Parker. She even goes on to say that they exchanged phone numbers at his wedding with the Desperate Housewives star.

Paressant released details claiming; she hooked up with the San Antonio Spur in Paris this past September, and then again in Texas in October.

Alexandra isn’t the most reliable source when it comes to integrity. She formerly dated Brazilian soccer player Ronaldhino, and spread rumors that his “all-night partying” during the 2006 World Cup led to Brazil’s loss.

Parker and Paressant are both French and only time will tell if these rumours are true or false.

Alba is carrying a little extra weight...

Baby weight that is!

It has just been confirmed that Honey actress, Jessica Alba is expecting her first child with on/off boyfriend Cash Warren.

Jess, 26 has been dating Cash, 28, since 2004 when they met on the set of Fantastic Four. Cash was working on the movie as a director's assistant.

The couple reportedly split up earlier this year citing their hectic work schedules, but got back together soon after. In the short time that they were apart, Cash had moved out and hooked up, which was publicised in the tabloids but Jess took him back.

Do you remember when those video's on TMZ featured Jess and Cash going into baby stores?!? I am guessing she has known since then and has successfully kept it out of the papparazzi's eye. Watch them swoon over her now.

Alba's representative Brad Cafarelli says, "I confirm that Jessica and Cash are expecting a baby in late spring, early summer." So in Australian terms expect to see the new Alba bub in late autumn early winter.

Strut your stuff

Last night on Channel 10 they aired the Victoria's Secret fashion show: What a show.
It was a good look about behind the scenes as well as the runway.
I also enjoyed the fact that they interviewed the main VS Models including Aussie Miranda Kerr.
An interesting fact about Kerr is she is the first Australian VS model. Most of the VS Models are brazilian. I thought this years show was lacking something, maybe Gisele Bunchen for instance!? It was the first show since Bunchen left VS.
These models make you want to work out they look so good. Its also refreshing to see how down to earth they are. There was no Naomi Campbell like behaviour!
They had live performances from Seal, Will.i.am and the recently re-grouped Spice Girls.
The Spice Girls sung "Stop" and even though they were very sexy in their millitary attire, "Stop" did not sound live!
To sum it all up Victoria's Secret runway show is not your average runway show. With everything that glitters to their wings, the show was one to remember.

Its the festive season: so are you jolly?

Well the countdown to Christmas is on.
It is 14 nights until Santa climbs down the chimey and comes to your lounge room - so are you in the 'festive mood' yet?
Personally I'm not. I don't know what is wrong with me - usually by this time, I'm wearing my Santa hat around, finished my Christmas present shopping and looking forward to the big day. However this year, I'm not that jolly.
I have put a christmas decoration on my desk and started my Christmas shopping yesterday but thats about it. Everyone I asked has nearly finished.
To get myself in the jolly mood my boyfriend, Joe and I went for a drive on Friday night to look at Christmas lights. It was great. It is good to see some people really get in the spirit of Christmas for all to enjoy. As soon as we drove to Starbucks to get a coffee - the spirit was gone and back to reality I came.
So I hope everyone is more spirited than I am.
Any ideas to get me in the festive mood!?

Jodhi sells 'Tigerlily'

Jodhi Meares, one of the judges on Australia's next top model and James Packers ex has sold her fashion label brand 'Tigerlily' to Billabong.
Billabong has not released how much money they would pay for the brand and Jodhi is expected to remain in a creative position inside the company.

Spice Girls kick off their tour.

The reformed Spice Girls kicked off their world tour in Vancouver,British Columbia overnight.
The outfit/costumes were put together by Victoria's close friend, Roberto Cavalli.
They are set to come to Sydney, however no date has been given as yet.
"Spice Fever" is about to hit the world again!
The group was formed in 1993 and released their debut single Wannabe in 1996. Geri Halliwell(Ginger Spice) left the group in 1998 and the remaining performers, Victoria Beckham(Posh Spice), Melanie Brown(Scary Spice), Emma Bunton(Baby Spice) and Melanie Chisolm(Sporty Spice) released the album Forever. The band then split in 2000.

The Hollywood Reporter has released their annual list of the highest paid actress in Hollywood - and Reese Witherspoon tied with Angelina Jolie to take the top honours this year.

And this year’s Top 10 Higest earners are:

Star-Struck!?

Lindsay Lohan and her rehab boyfriend Riley Giles have split.
Reports have come to the media suggesting he was 'over the Hollywood Hype'.
"Ri-Lo" is another relationship she can put on the belt.

With this relationship ending it has got me thinking: Can Hollywood stars have it all. We mere 'mortals' look at them with stars in our eyes. Look at the hysteria surrounding David Beckham's arrival in Sydney last week. I often get star struck. I was gob-smacked beyond belief a little over a month ago when on a Virgin Blue trip home to Sydney in a turbulence ridden flight I see Jodhi Meares get up to go to the bathroom. When we landed in Sydney, I was hitting my boyfriend in disbelief, analyzing everything about her. Her hair, dress sense etc but the biggest shock, that the ex Mrs Packer was on a budget flight from the Gold Coast to Sydney!
We often see stars heading to rehab, Linds being the perfect role model for the class of Rehab 2007.
Is pressure from the outside world (us) driving them to behave like this or are they that jolted from reality, that this (rehab, different boyfriends every season) is normal to them?

Brad Pitt has destroyed the hearts of millions of female fans with this quote.

“I don’t want to be embarrassed when my kids are old enough to see my films. I can’t see any more nude scenes [in my future].”

Looks like I am going to have to replay over and over again his naked scene with Aussie Rose Byrne from the movie Troy. He looks amazing there!

Christina bares all

WOW! Christina Aguilera has just finished an shoot and interview with US Marie Claire Magazine. The shoot sees Christina tastefully naked showing off her baby bump.
It looks like the pop megastar is set to have a baby boy. In the article she also talks about her marriage and her future. The article titled “Sexy Mama” is featured in the January 2008 US issue of Marie Claire. I hope we can get the magazine here!

Missy is bi-sexual

As regular readers will be aware I have reported that Australian singer, Missy Higgins came out of the 'closet' to national lesbian magazine Cherrie.

In the latest turn of events, Higgins has posted on her MySpace page she is 'bisexual'. Stating"I've been in relationships with men and women so I guess I fall most easily under the category 'bisexual'" .

Higgins said she felt she needed to set the record straight, after Cherrie labelled her "not straight".

I think that this is just a cover up because she is most probably not ready to open the door on her relationship with her current girlfriend. Her current girlfriend is still unknown but is said to be residing in Bondi where Missy just splashed out on a pad for the lover.

One of my bar bosses, Adam might be a little happier. There is still hope Adam!

Miranda takes on Paris

Australian supermodel Miranda Kerr reveals exclusively to Sassybella.com of her recent run in with Paris Hilton. Kerr is now a part of the prestigious Victoria's secret elite and was not happy with Miss Hilton.
You can watch the video interview on sassybella.com but to sum it up in short - Miss Hilton wanted to take part in the model parade and had to choose three outfits from the racks. She then pointed to Miranda's rack and stated "I want that one."
Miranda felt like "hitting her over the head" but went on to say that karma got Paris when Naomi Campbell arrived. Paris was left starkers after Naomi wanted her outfit back and closed the show!

And the winner is..

Victorian Natalie Gauchi has taken out 2007's Australian Idol. Its a bit of a suprise because i thought and so did everyone else that Matt Corby would take it out. You have to love an under-dog. She is now with Sony/BMG and has released her first song, Here I am.

Let's sue.

It seems everybody these days are 'sue-mad'.

Sue-Mad means they will try and swindle every cent out of the person they feel to be cheated by. There have been well known cases where a lady tried to sue McDonalds over her obesity/health problem and where Louis Vuitton sued Britney Spears (successfully!)for damages and the banning of a Britney Spears video which uses an unauthorised close-up shot of Louis Vuitton fabric.
Are we serious here..Louis Vuitton is a brand image plastered around the world..there are imitations of the companies designer handbags all over the world and they would rather sue Britney over fabric!

In the latest incident of sue-mad it seems the boys from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers are not happy with Showtime Networks, the company who makes the television show, Californication. Why? Because there CD which they released in 1999 was also called Californication. Anthony Kiedis states in a press release, "Californication" is the signature CD, video and song of the band's career. For some TV show to come along and steal our identity is not right."

I think that statement is a bit over exaggerated. The RHCP had released their first self-titled album in 1984. Under the Bridge - a song in which i love and was number one was released in 1991 on their Blood Sugar Sex Magik Album.Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a critical success and sold over twelve million copies and to top that off before they released Californication in 99 they released a Best of the red Hot Chilli Peppers in 1997. I think a band who releases a Best of album must be well known - and therefore the show is not stealing their identity. However, Californication, is their most successful album to date.

Band members want the show to stop using the name and to turn over any profits it made.

What do you guys think? Are the RHCP right - should the show Californication featuring David Duchovny be made to scrap the name of their show and give them the money that the show has earned so far -even though the show has nothing to do with the band!?!

And also: why did they wait a whole season to lodge a lawsuit - why not do it after the first episode!?!

Missy is gay..

Missy Higgins has come out on the cover of Cherrie magazine (a national lesbian magazine).
I always thought with songs Missy writes she was a scorned lover - but not from a man it seems!
It has been quoted of her saying "that she is not straight and believes sexuality is a fluid thing".
It is also believed Higgins has bought her girlfriend a house in Bondi.
I wonder if she feels better about herself - now she has outed herself?
Missy joins a group of people who have come out with their sexuality recently. Janice Dickinson has just admitted she is bi-sexual, Anthony Callea was accidently outed on radio and Lance Bass since he has outed himself won't shut up about it!

Lindsay does her time..

A whole 84 minutes that is! Lindsay walked into the Lynwood correctional facility at 10.30 a.m (5.30 AEST) with her lawyer, Blair Berk.
Lynwood is the same facility where Paris Hilton served her DUI sentence in June. Linds was sentenced to 24 hours in prison, but she didn’t even make it to a cell. She was kept in a holding area and released less than an hour and a half later.
Apparently Lohan was "extremely co-operative and professional." This 84-minute lockdown has fulfilled the jail time part of her DUI conviction, but she will still be required to complete community service.

What do we think of this? 84 minutes for Lindsaty, 82 minutes for Nicole..seems like celebs have different rules to others!

Nova's version of Jackie O

Kate Ritchie is set to replace Sami Lukis on the Nova forefront.
Kate will be on every morning from Monday to Friday with Merrick and Russo.
They are trying to capture the number 1 slot of breakfast fm radio.
That radio slot is currently held by Kyle and Jackie O.
No offence Nova, you are going to need a lot more than Kate to try and gain that spot.
Kyle and Jackie O work well as a team and Sydney loves Jackie and loves to hate Kyle.
You guys don't have that. Kate worked on the Akmal show earlier this year when she replaced Matthew Newton.

When the reign is over

One of my all time favourite shows reached an interesting point in the new episode: Katie hands over her reign and crown to new MIss Teen USA, Hilary Cruz from Colorado.
It was such a sad moment to see Katie go. Over the season, I must say she is one of my favorite people in the series minus the outrageous burps. She is down to earth and says whats on her mind. She has alot to deal with. Her on/off boyfriend Josh was unsupportive of her title and couldn't wait for it to be over!
Before she walks out to the crowd tears well up in her eyes. She know her time as Miss Teen USA has come to an end. Which has got me thinking, how depressing would it be - to hand over a title! Katie worked so hard to get it just to see it get passed on to someone else- and I might add Hilary seems to not appreciate the fact she won it with all the bitching she does in this episode.
The infamous Miss South Carolina from her US Maps to Iraq features in this episode and Hilary is annoyed that the spotlight is on South Carolina and not her.
I wish Katie all the best and I hope she features throughout the remainder of the season.

A true 'Sexyback'

I was lucky enough to see Justin Timberlake's show at Acer Arena. It was his last night it Australia and he wanted to go out with a 'bang!'.
I will repeat and say i was lucky enough because after the hysteria of what is Justin his first two Sydney shows sold out in a matter of minutes.
This superstar is a star in every form of the word. From the magical light show, to his dance moves and even the way he talks the crowd was in absoloute awe.
There was a mix of old songs including 'Gone' from his N*Sync days to 'What goes around..comes around" and "Cry me a river."
Jessica Biel was not in the audience and if i was his girlfriend I would not be there either. His dance moves with female perfomers especially in "Summer Love" would have left her hot under the collar.
He even shared his experience with Australian Wildlife. He had been swooped by a magpie and admitted he had "peed his pants a little!"
Justin left the crowd wanting more. I will definatley go and to his next concert - when he comes back to Sydney, superstar - is a term that should not be used lightly, but he fits the mould perfectly.

Bye-Bye Justin Bobby

Earlier last week The Hills star Audrina Patridge was going at it in a slinging match with Justin Bobby, Her on-off boyfriend. At the end of the night Audrina screams, "He doesn't even have the balls to come and talk to me!"
Well bye-bye Justin, hello Tyson Paige. The couple were first seen at the Maxim launch party for Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed party in LA and now a few days later at the Motorola holiday party also in LA.
Rumour has it Justin was at the Maxim Launch party and was caught sulking making his way to the next club.
NOTE TO JUSTIN: Look at this season of The Hills. How can you expect to have any one when you treat the person you "like" like that! Now that you have woken up, its too late!

What is going on in the world of DOCS?
Yes, I am talking about the Department Of Child Services.
In the past month NSW has seen three severe cases make headlines and I am sure there are many that have not been reported on.
The Daily Telegraph has reported on Dean Shillingsworth, a two year old boy who was found murdered and put in a suitcase, found floating in a pond. This poor boy was known to DOCS and after his paternal grandmother made several attempts to DOCS she was ignored. Look what happened!
The second case is a girl by the name of Shellay Ward. This beautiful seven yeard old girl who suffered from autism died from starvation and only weighed nine kilograms. To make this situation worse, The Daily Telegraph revealed to its readership this morning of the conditions Shellay was faced with. This included being surrounded by who own faeces. The old next door neighbours to this girl were concerned for her safety and was again their pleas were ignored. This poor girl was known to be confined to this squalid of a room and was often seen staring outside her window screaming for her mum and dad. She never attended school.It is believed only Mr Ward has been interviewed by police. His wife, has yet to be questioned by police in relation to her daughter's death.

And this, the third case has just come to light. A fourteen month old boy is on life support in Westmead's children hospital after apparently falling from his high chair. All that is known at this time is his mother a nineteen year old girl had been involved with a man in his thirties. The man is not known to be the childs biological father but is a convicted killer. This little boy is now fighting for his life and DOCS knew about this situation.

I feel sorry for any child that has been neglected or harmed. How can anyone do this? I really hope something can be done about this matter.

J-Lo confirms what we knew..

Jennifer Lopez has confirmed she is pregnant with her first child to Marc Anthony.
All I can say is: Why did it take so long! It was quite obvious there was a bump on her body! She would of had to confirm after dear friend and designer blurted it out to the press.

Whilst on my lunch break yesterday I came across a site which fascinated me.
Because I am admitting I am celeb obsessed it would be no great suprise that I loved this site.

They have have a celebrity/star gossip section asking who has/has not had surgery.

Self discovery while on holidays

I had a ah-ha! moment when I was away recently.
I was sitting on the balcony of my apartment by myself sipping on a malibu and pineapple.
When you are away from the people you love (this time I was away from my family and friends) you tend to learn more about yourself. With this trip, this is what I discovered about myself.
1. I have to have time by myself. I cannot live with three other people in such a small space. Arguements are bound to happen.
2. I have to start a hobby. According to Cosmo hobby is the new black, but this has been on my mind for a while. Something away from work or career. Something I can enjoy by myself. Depending on the amount of time I have available (considering I work six days a week and am just about to start a 22hour a week uni course by correspondence!) I will try an choose a hobby accordingly.
3. When I am away I often question myself. I question is my relationship everything I expected, who are my true friends, what do I want etc. (Why cant I just relax!) Questions that will always come around with a different answer.
4.I need to get a body masage atleast once a month. I am being serious! It was the most relaxing experience. I sleep better after a massage as well!

I'm so excited right now

I am a big fan of Christina and was excited to see her a second time in July when she was perfoming her "Back to Basics" tour.
On the way home, Amy,Leese,Louise and I had Christina blasting from my VW, talking about the concert we had just been to. We loved it.
Leese and I both being celeb obsessed had to check and see if there was a baby bump. We confirmed that there was! (one of my first blogs was on the concert!) Anyways it was a great night.
The next day Louise and I were sweating it out at the gym, when Lou said wouldn't it be great if she released a Back to Basics dvd from our concert.
Fast forward to today and suprise! Christina has just announced that she will be releasing on December 8,2007 her performance from Sydney’s Acer Arena from July on DVD.
According to Australian press, “‘Christina Aguilera Back To Basics : Live In Australia’ took place just before she came to Melbourne, fell ill, and had to cancel the remaining dates of the world tour.”
I am so excited! Like one of my best buds would say, "I'm so excited, I could piddle myself!" (Not to be taken seriously ofcourse!!)

My Holiday..

I promise i will put some pics up as soon as I get my boyfriend's memory card from his camera. I keep forgetting!
We stayed at Cascade Gardens in Surfers Paradise. It was basic but good in the sense you could walk everywhere.
Broadbeach is much nicer than Surfers. If i had my way I would be living at Broadbeach right now. The atmosphere is very laid back. They have a really nice restaurant strip and its not as expensive as Sydney.
Some of the places we visited included: Q1, Minus 5 bar, Melbas, Bedroom, Georges, Koi, Dreamworld, Wet and Wild, Pacific Fair and White Water World! Pretty busy hey!
It was great to see one of my best friends for her birthday. I was scared that we would be in different states but when she told me she was going to Surfers I was really excited.
The only down part to my trip was i had an arguement with my boyfriend and one of the people who was staying with us, well lets say we have drifted apart. We are not as close as what we were. That's fine tho, everyone changes, me included!
If i could do it all again - in some ways I would and in others I wouldn't bother. After all, everything including arguements make a holiday unique and different - right!?!

Expectant Mumma news..

Christina Aguilera has finally confirmed what we already knew. With a recent interview in Glamour magazine the star says she will balance motherhood. The baby is due early next year.
Cate Blanchett was the meat in the sandwich last week when rumours begun about her fuller figure. Cate announced happily, yes i am pregnant. The baby is due in April. This will be the third child for Blanchett and her husband Andrew Upton.
Jennifer Lopez's friend, designer Roberto Cavalli, told the press the star is expecting a child. Talking about her costumes for her tour is hard because quote "She is getting bigger every week!" I bet you J-Lo was not happy about this one, since she has even gone to the extremes of denying it!

OK.. so I was just watching Rove when I saw the most disgusting thing ever! seriously! It had disturbed me that much, well here I am whinging about it on a Sunday night. Now, this is my first ever blog about politics. I never bring it up because to be honest, voting is a personal thing. I do not want to influence anyone else on my thoughts but this crossed the line.
I am talking about video footage of Kevin Rudd scraping ear wax out of his ear in parliament then eating it.Thats right, sucking his finger with his findings. How wrong! Any regular reader, would know..I freak out when it comes to hygeine issues!! I look at it this way..
If Kev does this..what else does he do?
Peter Garrett also came out and stated if labour won..they would change their policies. Well guess what guys!?!
You lost my vote! Yes you lost it over the ear wax. Anyone think I should accept his dirty habit and i am over exaggerating?

Lindsay nearly relapsed

Linds was seen attending the “Rehab Summer of 2008” you’d think the star would not ask for alcohol would you?!? But after all its Lindsay Lohan. After completing her third stint in rehab this year the star was at Viceroy Hotel in Los Angeles,attempting to order a drink for herself on October 19th. But thanks to her aides, LiLo was refused the libation.
Lindsay’s sober aides have gone above and beyond the call of duty, and visited all of her old hangouts, telling the staff not to serve her.
A witness told press, “She was fine at first, but it was obviously too soon for her to be around people who were drinking, because she later asked the server for a vodka. But her people had called ahead and servers were told not to give in no matter how often Lindsay asked for alcohol.”
Another source said, “I heard the waitress say that she was sorry but she wasn’t allowed to serve her. Lindsay walked out soon after, looking embarrassed.”

Lohan’s people are denying the validity of the story. You would tho, wouldn't you?! After three stints in rehab you would hope one of them worked in the bid to remain sober!

Martina Hingis linked to coccaine

Former world number one Martina Hingis is retiring/leaving tennis in a bit of a scandal.
Martina who is now ranked 19 in the world has said the follwoing:

“I have tested positive, but I have never taken drugs and I feel 100% innocent,” Hingis went on to say: “The reason I have come out with this is because I do not want to have a fight with anti-doping authorities. Because of my age and my health problems, I have also decided to retire from professional tennis.”

Hingis is only twenty-seven. To me, she sounds guilty because if i knew i was 100% innocent, there would be no way i would let a drug allegation ruin my career!

I AM BACK!

Good morning people.
After one week of holidays I am back in the blogging seat. I will ensure you that I will catch up on my celeb goss to keep everyone informed!
I am having one of 'those' days. You know the kind. Lacking motivation. I have narrowed it down to two reasons:

1. First day back from a sun-filled holiday. You are always going to feel nostalgic. The fact that I fel in love with the place that I visited (Surfer's Paradise and Broadbeach) would not help. The atmosphere is different to Sydney. Very laid-back.

2. I have after my sun-filled holiday became sick. I have a throat and ear infection. My entire right hand side of my body is blocked. I cannot hear or smell and from this morning i have lost my taste too! After landing back in Sydney on Wednesday night I was unable to unblock my ears from the plane flight. According to the Doctor, the flight would not have helped. I most probably already had an infection and the flight just helped it.

I cannot wait to tell you guys all about my adventures. The up's and down's. The must go places and what you can discover about yourself when you go away.

It has been an off-week!

You know when one day your on top of the world having a great day and the next well it isnt that great.
Well I have been having one of those only its not a day, its a week!
It all started on Saturday afternoon after work.
My camera had been on charge all day and the three green lights had flashed meaning 100% charge. When i went to turn my camara on, it switched itself off and had to be re-charged. It is under an extended warranty (the camera is only 14 months old!). Anyways off to Harvey Norman I go on Sunday. I was stuck there for a little under two hours. The customer service guy said he thought it was better if i bought a new camera. A new camera!?! This one is not ancient! He then refused to send it away. Two reasons: He did not think Kodak would fix it because there was a crew missing from the camera and number two because I did not give him $85 to send it away (remember its under warranty!?!. Supposed to be sent away for free!) and after talking to his manager, she agreed the camera would be sent away.
Monday: Take a pair of shoes to the shoe repairer. When I came back to pick them up, I accidently left my wallet on the counter. The shoe repairer was closing. Going to catch my afternoon train I soon discovered I did not have my wallet. 100% certain of where it was I went to the shoe repairers tof ind it shut but I found a mobile number I could contact the owner on. He sounded vague by first saying yes he had the wallet then no he didnt have it. Lucky for me my boss was still at work and he lent me some money to get home. I am devastated. Everything in my wallet is personal. Medicare card, ID, none of this is any use to any one except myself.
Tuesday morning: Harvey Norman call. The general manager for the digital department calls me and said on review of my camera they wanted $85 to send the camera away. (Haven't we already had this conversation!?!) I said I could not come over there any earlier than late next week because I am going interstate. She replied with "fine, it will stay here until you pay!" Because I work in the city I had to call my Mum to go over and give this lady the money. I am not happy with this. I believe if the camera is under warranty, it should be sent away for free. I should not have to cover Harvey Norman's costs. Because of this experience I am NOT buying anything electrical from them again.
Tuesday afternoon: Picture this: Me, frantic running around getting new cards: Bank, Medicare etc. On my way to get a new licence I had a phone call from my dental assistant. (what in the world could she want!?!) She had phoned to tell me the Sweeny Hotel on Clarence St had my wallet. It had been dumped in the Gents toilet.
The person who had my wallet took anything of value to them: money,train ticket etc but the one thing I am devastated over. He took my memory card from my camera. The one thing I wanted. There is over 400 photos. He would not know anyone in them so why would he take it!! I only had my memory card in my wallet because of the camera situation. Nice hey!
So from tomorrow, I will be going to Queensland for a long (deserved!) break. I wont be blogging for a week, but when I get back I promise I will fill you guys in on my holiday and any other bits of juicy gossip I pick up along the way!

Timberlake has landed

Justin Timberlake has hit Australian shores this morning. However he was en route to Brisbane and was in and out of Sydney in hours. Jessica Biel was nowhere to be seen.
Justin is in Australia to perform his 'Future Sex/Love Sounds' tour which i am going to on November 13.
Lucky me!

Candice has to: (OPINION PIECE)

Get over herself!
She states in many media interviews thats she is NOT Australia's version of Paris Hilton.
We all know that is a lie. Candice is more famous for her relationship/hook-ups with men than her 'ironwomen' career.
In her latest interview with Alpha magazine, Falzon states she has "no regrets" about her infamous toilet tryst with rugby league star Sonny Bill Williams. Well why would you when it made you famous. It also made you look easy. I wonder if she ever thought about Sonny's girlfriend while she got it on in a toilet and it just shows how hygenic she is. (Everyone on this blog knows my opinion on hygeine!)

And if she wants to be taken as a serious 'ironwomen' why would you in the photoshoot accompaying the interview be in a bikini with a cream bottle! Get serious Candice :You are Australia's version of Paris Hilton. Retire from ironwomen duties it makes you look stupid when all the best you could finish was 14th in your latest event.

Perez catches 'The Hills' out!

A few gossip blogs have come across and made accusations that MTV's 'The Hills' is a 'fake' reality show.
About two weeks ago pictures surfaced of MTV filming Speidi leaving and arriving at the airport for the show. All Heidi did was change outfits.
Even though it might be 'fake' and now evidence is starting to show that it is, i still love the show! Its one of my TV addictions. Perez, the master of gossip, has came across the latest epiosde of season three of The Hills.
Lauren goes on a date with Gavin. Seen sipping on her cocktail she has bright red nailpolish on and flar hair. After comming home from the date and calling Brody, there is no nailpolish and curly hair.
